Sony has unveiled its newest flagship smartphone, the Sony Xperia 1, which is supposedly the first in the world with a 4K OLED panel.

The Sony Xperia 1 comes in at 6.57-inches, being a head turner at Mobile World Congress 2019 for its super tall screen with its 21:9 aspect ratio.

The Xperia 1, which is the successor to the Xperia ZX3, even outplay the iPhone XS when it comes to size. The iPhone XS measures in at 5.8-inches.

Sony’s latest smartphone is perfect for cinema and video lovers as it has an OLED display with a 4K resolution and “CinemaWide” ratio. With this aspect ratio, you can watch most films and shows without black bars on the top and bottom.

The Sony Xperia 1 also support HDR content from Netflix and Amazon. For the sound, the device comes with stereo speakers and Dolby Atmos technology.

It is powered with Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 855 and runs with Android 9 Pie. You can get ut with 6GB of RAM and an option between 6GB or 128GB of UFS 2.1 storage.

When it comes to the camera, Sony Xperia 1 has triple rear cameras comprised of three 12-megapixel lenses. Up front, you get an 8-megapixel shooter. It’s been reported that Sony’s Alpha team (people behind its professional mirrorless cameras) worked closely on the device’s camera system.
