Sony Xperia Z’s arrival was a great surprise. Its early release and impressive specifications proved Sony was not yet out of the race and aims to climb back to the top. With its early release, problems did arise which are apparent in the phone’s above average battery life, poor viewing angles, and lackluster innovative touch.

Xperia Z is considered today as Sony’s Flagship and trump card against the upcoming HTC One and Samsung Galaxy S4, but it seems Sony is set to release another Flagship to even the scales with the aforementioned competitors.

Behold the Sony Xperia C670x! It is rumored to have the same 1920×1080 Full HD Display like its brother with a smaller screen. Improvements over the Xperia Z includes the Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 chipset with four cores clocked at 1.8GHz, 32GB Internal Storage (microSD slot yet to be confirmed),  2GB RAM, an Adreno 320GPU and it come pre-installed with either Android 4.2 Jellybean or Key Lime Pie 5.0 (which I highly doubt). The camera looks to be the same as Xperia Z and its body could either be Aluminium or glass.

Sony Xperia Z is indeed an amazing phone, probably the best available today on the Philippine smartphone market, but its issues may fend-off potential buyers. Should Sony Xperia C670x address the viewing angles and the battery with a few touches of Sony exclusives, it could give HTC One and Samsung Galaxy S4 a good run for your money. Again, these are just rumored specifications, but let’s hope for the best value for our money!
