Sony has announced the Xperia E5, a smartphone with entry-level specifications.

The Xperia E5 is made official today without too much excitement. It’s now listed on the company’s website, along with its previously leaked internals. It seems like Sony isn’t so interested in their mobile division, or it’s just that this is only a low to midrange smartphone.


The Sony Xperia E5 flaunts a 5-inch 720p display and it measures 144 x 69 x 8.2 mm. The phone weighs 147g and it packs a 2,700mAh battery. The Japanese electronics giant claims that the E5 can last for up to two days battery life.

The Sony Xperia E5 will be available for 199 Euros (Php10,400). No word on international availability as of the moment.
