With the original announced this same month last year, the Sony Xperia Tablet Z2 is expected to have its own debut soon—possibly at the upcoming Mobile World Congress. In the meantime, here are some leaked photos of what seem to be Sony’s next-gen tablet.
The first image (shown above) is from well-known device leaker @evleaks. He has also divulged the hardware specs: a 2.3GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, 10.1-inch Triluminos display with 1920×1200 resolution, 3GB of RAM, 16GB internal storage with microSD support, 8-megapixel rear- and 2-megapixel front-facing cameras, 6000mAh battery, Android 4.4 KitKat, and waterproof IP-certification. With a 6.44mm profile thickness, this Xperia Tablet Z successor is even thinner than the iPad Air.
The second image comes from @gadgetleaks, showing a variant with a white back.
Sony is also rumored to be working on a new flagship phone, which is expected to be called the Xperia Z2.
