A new mystery LG android phone gets outed in the wild. Google I/O is not too far now and we’re still not sure if there will be a Nexus 4 follow-up or a new android version to be announced there but it’s likely as that’s what Google do every year.

The image came from a trusted source, @evleaks, which is known by leaking upcoming devices before its official announcement. Looking at the design language, it’s notable that it’s not the typical LG design seen on the LG Optimus G. They commonly use squared edges and the only relevant exception is the Google-LG team-up on the Nexus 4.  So basically, we can conclude that this is indeed a contender to be a successor to the most successful Nexus smartphone to date. However, there is also a possibility that it’s a shift in design nature of LG and it could be the Optimus G2.

One thing that I first noticed is that it looks taller than the Nexus 4 which mean that it’ll have a bigger screen size. Even though we’re inclined to believe that this is the Nexus 5 or the LG Optimus G2, we still have to take this rumor with a grain of salt as nothing’s true until confirmed officially. Hopefully, it’ll come with an affordable price just like its predecessor.

Nexus 5 rumors

There’s no mention of specs for now but we’re guessing that it’ll have a 5-inch Full HD just like other flagship android phones like the Galaxy S4.

Our real guess is that it’s running on Windows, as suggested by the blue screen of death.

Regarding the Nexus 7 successor, there are already rumors about it as well and we’re expecting to see it unveiled on the Google I/O this year.

What do you guys think? Are you looking forward to the next Nexus smartphone?
