Vivo have finally revealed the new Vivo X50, X50 Pro, and X50 Pro Plus.

After teasing its unique camera features, the Vivo X50 series have been finally revealed. Let’s start with the flagship Vivo X50 Pro Plus, which comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor and a 120Hz 6.56-inch OLED screen.

As stated earlier, the main highlight here are the cameras. The X50 Pro Plus comes with the new 50-megapixel ISOCELL GN1 from Samsung. It features a motion deblur algorithm and continuous focus tracking for better images and videos at night or in handheld. Super Night Mode and Astro Mode are also present

There’s an 8-megapixel periscope lens that has 5x optical zoom with a 135mm equivalent. It enables its Hyper Zoom (60x hybrid zoom) feature, much like the OPPO Find X2. An 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera doubles as a macro lens. Plus, a 13-megapixel sensor that provides 2x of optical zoom, great for portraits.

The other three cameras are almost the same, although the periscope lens only has an f/3.4 aperture. It’s still in the same camera design that’s identical to the Galaxy S20 Ultra.

Vivo has also slightly downgraded the rest of the hardware. From a flagship processor, the X50 Pro now only has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G chipset. Albeit, the screen is dramatically curved and still uses an OLED panel with a 90Hz refresh rate

Obviously, the Vivo X50 is going to be the cheapest. It now lacks the gimbal stabilization and periscope zoom. To compensate, its thinness of only 7.49mm serves as the main attraction, making it one of the thinnest smartphone in the market today.

To achieve that, the 6.56-inch AMOLED screen had to be flat. We still have the same 32-megapixel selfie camera on a punch-hole, but with a slightly smaller aperture opening.

The vanilla X50 Pro is powered by the same Snapdragon 765G processor, a 48-megapixel main shooter on the back, 13-megapixel portrait lens, and 8-megapixel ultra-wide.
