vivo has introduced a new member of its entry-level Y-series. The new vivo Y19 5G is here and it looks a lot like its siblings.
The vivo Y19 5G has color options and camera island that’s identical to the Y29s and Y19e. It comes in Majestic Green and Titanium Silver, with the 13-megapixel main camera and auxiliary sensor in a vertical layout.
Powering the device is a UNISOC T7225 octa-core processor, with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of expandable storage up to 2TB via a microSD card.
Sadly, it still runs on last generation’s Android 14-based Funtouch OS 14.
There’s a large 5,500mAh battery that provides power, with support for 15W charging. A 6.74-inch HD+ screen is on the front, with a high 90Hz refresh rate, and a 5-megapixel selfie snapper.
vivo also highlighted its IP64-rated dust and water resistance for durability. It also has military-grade shock resistance.
The vivo Y19 5G has an SRP of INR7,999 (~Php5,300) and is now available in India. Oh, and no, this is different from the 4G-only Y19 that came out way back in 2019.
