Last month, Xiaomi released the new Redmi 6A. This device is a follow-up to the Redmi 5A, which was once hailed as the best-selling Android smartphone in the world.

The initial model only came with 2GB of memory and 16GB of storage. But for those who want to get an extra oomph from this handset, the company outs the Xiaomi Redmi 6A 3GB/32GB model.

This provides an extra gig of RAM plus twice the storage capacity to one of the most appealing low-end smartphones around. This means that the Redmi 6A will have more memory to work more tasks on, and extra storage space to house all of your apps and pictures on.

Still, this new variant will come with the same hardware as with the original model. It has a 5.45-inch HD+ IPS display, a good screen to watch videos and play games with. The chipset itself is a 2GHz MediaTek Helio A22 quad-core processor.

A decent 5-megapixel camera is tasked to take selfies, while on the back is a 13-megapixel shooter with PDAF for some acceptable photography prowess.

It does lack a fingerprint scanner to accommodate the cheap price tag. But to compensate, Xiaomi added a Face Unlock security feature. In addition, an Infrared Blaster comes as a standard feature to almost all Xiaomi devices.
