Xiaomi, a Chinese mobile manufacturer  whose making a name for itself by introducing high-end smartphones on an affordable price, brings two new android phones on their portfolio. Xiaomi haven’t made it through Europe, US, and Asia yet but reports say that they are now expanding their revolution towards other countries.

The Xiaomi Mi2’s successor, the Mi3, is expected to arrive with earthshaking specs but it looks like we have to wait a little while to here more about that. For the meantime, let’s focus on these equally exciting android duo.

The Xiaomi M12A is the cheaper among the two that’s why its specs are a little less impressive. It has a 4.5-inch IPS display, a 1.7GHz dual-core processor, Adreno 320 GPU, and 1GB of RAM. It also packs an 8-megapixel rear camera and 2-megapixel front camera. Just like other Xiaomi smartphones, these two will run on a Android 4.1 Jelly Bean-based MIUI.

On the other hand, the Xiaomi Mi2S packs quite a punch that could even take the Samsung Galaxy S4 on, if Xiaomi’s claims can be proven. It is said that it scores a whopping  25,913 in AnTuTu, though we can’t really confirm if it’s legit. The reason of this high score is its quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor clocked at 1.7GHz and its 2GB of RAM. It sports a  smaller 4.3-inch IPS HD (1280×720) display and all other features like the camera, and on-board software are the same as the Mi2A. Both handsets come with a 2000mAh battery to power it up.

The Xiaomi Mi2A will sell for around $239 while the Xiaomi Mi2S will cost $319 for the 16GB and the 32GB will be available for $367. Anybody who would be interested in Xiaomi android phones? Do you think MyPhone, Cherry Mobile, and Starmobile should get them as the OEM of their products?

  1. Xiaomi is available in china, hongkong and taiwan but not all stores here in taiwan have xiaomi only in far eastone. So hndi rin sya open sa public store… but i think you can buy it online kc khit nsa US nkakabili na ng xiaomi like ebay….

  2. sinong nakagamit na nito, i tried the MIUI ROM, looks better than HTC sense. san nakakbili nito?

  3. MIUI is the arguably most beautifully themed AndroidUI… XIAOMI has it built in.. even sa Galaxy Note ko MIUI pa rin ang hinihintay ko. So this is good..

  4. actually marami pang mas maganda dito at mga mura din unlike sa mga malalaking brands like samsung ang tindi maglatag ng price. time will come makikipag compete din sila sa price kasi marami na rin SoC manufacturers hindi lang sila, kahit si Apple nakikipagkalas na kaya strategy ni samsung now eh maglabas ng maglabas ng different models of smartphones covering different size markets. konti na lang kasi nabili ng SoC nila haha…

    1. pero if ever na magparebrand sila tpos first pa dito philippines malamang manginig talaga mga competitors kapag nangyari un pero if ever lang naman un ah dahil tulad ng sabi mo ayaw nila sa rebranding.. :)

  5. Ang daming ng magagandang Android Phones na nagsilabas at patuloy na naglalabasan, sad to say..up to now, never pa akong nagkaroon.hays.
