The camera features in iOS devices are undeniably great, but sadly far from being complete. For instance, no ability to shoot a la Android’s PhotoSphere panorama mode can be found. Luckily, there’s a dedicated iOS app for that—Bubbli.
First introduced in Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, the PhotoSphere is a beefed-up version of the panorama mode, allowing you to take 360-degree images from where you stand. Bubbli for iOS is one of the few apps (if not the only one) to emulate such feature. With it, you can capture everything as though you’re in a bubble. An option to attach sound is available, too.
Using the app is incredibly easy. To capture a “bubble,” simply stand on one spot and move your camera around so it can take a 360-degree of your surroundings. Keep your hand as steady as possible, so the pictures won’t get stitched together at weird places. When done, the bubble can then be shared with other Bubbli users, with your friends on Facebook, or through a web link.
Bubbli’s promotional images say it all: “when photos and videos aren’t enough,” then “jump inside dynamic spherical photos.” You can download Bubbli on the App Store.
