Samsung launched a couple of flagship devices recently. One of them is their current-best earphones, the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro.
But let’s stick to the hardware first. To make it more comfortable, the Buds 2 Pro has an aerodynamic design with new vent holes and a nozzle grill for better airflow. It is also rigged with a bigger windshield for the triple microphones to help eliminate noise.
Speaking of noise, the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro comes with an advanced intelligent Active Noise Cancellation (ANC), which claims to be better than the Galaxy Buds Pro as it reduces noise by three more decibels.
Like other ANC earphones, it has Voice Detect, which automatically adjust the volume when you’re talking so you can hear people’s response. Ambient/Transparency mode is also present so you can hear your surroundings better.
The audio is then provided by the large 10mm drivers, which are rigged with 24-bit HiFi for improved sound processing for high-quality audio.
360-degree spatial audio is also present with Dolby Head Tracking, which is great for watching concerts or movies as it can replicate a home theater system.
The device comes with the latest Bluetooth 5.3 with Samsung’s Auto Switch technology so you can seamlessly switch between Samsung phones, tablets, laptops, and even TVs. It also works with Samsung SmartThings Find.

Each bud then has 61mAh batteries that can provide up to 5 hours of music with ANC on and 8 hours with ANC off. The USB Type-C charging case, which also has wireless charging capabilities, can provide a total juice of 29 hours.
Samsung also brags the Buds 2 Pro’s IPX7 water resistance, perfect for workouts, and tuning care of renowned audio brand AKG.
The Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 Pro has a price of Php12,990 in the Philippines and will be up for pre-order from August 11 to September 1. Sales start on September 2. It’s available in three colors: Bora Purple, White, and Graphite.
