In celebration of its 110th anniversary, the Land Transportation Office (LTO), together with the Department of Transportation (DOTr), has opened two new facilities along Metro Manila.
The first one is called the LTO Information Technology Training Hub, which the agency says will be the place for the web-based core system, dash camera system, and data center, and will be the LTO Central Command Center extension.

Next is the Road Safety Interactive center (RSIC). As the word “interactive” hints, this facility will feature different driving simulators — both for automatic and manual automobiles and will even feature motorcycles.
This could help newbie drivers to have a bit of familiarity before manning an actual vehicle. It could also help the LTO streamline driving tests and lessons.

The LTO is yet to detail how the general public and motorists can utilize the new RSIC.
In the press release, LTO said:
“Layon ng IT Training Hub at RSIC na pagtibayin ang serbisyo ng LTO gamit ang makabagong teknolohiya at palakasin pa ang hangarin ng LTO na makilala bilang isang road safety hub.”
