How-to-check-LTO-vehicle-license-plate-availability-online

The lack of vehicle license plates has been an issue for motorists for the last couple of years. When they register their vehicle, they were not given a new license with the new design. Instead, vehicle owners have to wait for years just to get one.

It has been an issue for a long while but the Land Transportation Office (LTO) is finally ready to release the delayed vehicle plates they owe to Filipinos. To quicken up the process, LTO has partnered with the Department of Transportation (DoT) so that the government can open up its own factories for manufacturing vehicle license plates in the Philippines.

For those who want to know if their vehicle license plates are already available, you may now check the status at LTO’s online license plate checker.

Step 2: Enter your vehicle’s 15-digit MV File Number. It can be located on the upper left corner of the Certificate of Registration of the vehicle.

Step 3: Get the result! If your vehicle’s license plate is not yet available, you’ll get a message similar to this. Otherwise, you’re good to go.

That’s easy, right? You no longer need to go to LTO or call their hotline number just to check if your much-awaited license plate is already available for pick up.
