With some $200 million (around Php11 billion) to spend on a new research and development (R&D) facility in the Philippines, American multinational semiconductor company Analog Devices Inc. (ADI) is set for a big expansion, the company announced.

The pronouncement came to light in time with Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos, Jr.’s political visit at the Blair House in Washington DC.

With gratitude for the firm’s continued trust and investment in the country, the Philippines’ Head of the State affirmed the government’s support for the company’s future undertakings.

When it pushes through, the new facility will add to the company’s LEED-certified production facility at Cavite’s Gateway Business Park.

Curious about ADI’s plans going beyond just the acquisition of the new facility in the Philippines, Marcos questioned the company officials about the matter.

One company official claimed that ADI would continue on its various manufacturing aspects as well as makes a shift in its operation’s focus to more modern technology.

Set in Cavite, Philippines, Analog Devices General Trias, Inc. (ADGTI) manufactures, assembles, tests semiconductor devices, as well as does dice inspection.

As of 2022, ADGTI employs some 5,252 individuals and has produced exports worth $394.39 million in the same year.

Aside from business, ADI also carries out the ADI University Program, which provides engineering students the opportunity to enhance the theory and application of analog circuit design.
