Brand Finance, a consultancy firm based in London, just released a 2023 report that ranks the most valuable brands in the Philippines.

The firm defines brand value as “the net economic benefit that a brand owner would achieve by licensing the brand in the open market.” In their report, Brand Finance said that banking companies were able to enjoy the economic growth made possible by the strong domestic demand.

This year’s list also includes five first-timers. The list was dominated by PLDT, defending its position from last year with a brand value of USD2.6 billion (~Php141.4 billion). Globe Telecom is then considered the strongest brand with its AAA brand strength thanks to leading the 5G network rollout both locally and internationally.
