PH’s biggest telecommunications company PLDT announced that its core income has reached Php 8.2 billion in the first quarter of 2022, which is 9 percent higher than last year.
The net income of PLDT, on the other hand, has increased by 56 percent or Php 9.1 billion, according to its latest disclosure in the PH stock exchange.
As for its consolidated service revenue, PLDT reached Php 46.4 billion for the first quarter, 79 percent of which was added by its data and broadband services.

PLDT and Smart President and CEO Alfredo Panlilio stated that these were the fruit of PLDT services during the global health crisis and the shifting needs as the restrictions gradually ease.
PLDT also raised its capital expenditure for 2022 to Php 85 billion, which is also significantly higher than the previous year.
