The development of Huawei’s HarmonyOS 2.0 is going forward at a quick pace, as Huawei has no choice but to fully back its own operating system given its blacklisted status by the US and inability to access important software, such as the Google Mobile Services. If you’re curious how HarmonyOS 2.0 is coming along, here’s a video comparing it with Xiaomi’s EMUI 11.

As shown in the video, the phone on the right is running HarmonyOS 2.0, with another phone running EMUI 11 on the left. The demonstration between running several apps and other interactions with the phone seemingly show that the phone running the Android 11-based EMUI 11 is a tad faster.

But it should be noted that the HarmonyOS 2.0 being used here is a beta version, whereas the EMUI 11 is a current, stable version. As such, it’s hard to draw conclusions from the comparison video.
