As you can see from the specs table above, the two phones really differ from each other.
Let’s start talking about their displays. Both phones have an LCD screen but they do differ in size as the Huawei Y9s has a 6.59-inch screen compared to the 6.3-inch screen of the Realme 5 Pro.
On the performance side, the Realme 5 Pro takes the win thanks to its Qualcomm Snapdragon 712 chip and Adreno 616 GPU. On the other hand, the Huawei Y9s has a HiSilicon Kirin 710F CPU and a Mali G51-MP4 GPU.
On the subject of memory, the Huawei Y9s has 6GB RAM while the Realme 5 Pro has 4GB and 8GB variants. The two handsets also have an internal storage of 128GB but they differ in the expandable storage capacity as the Y9s can be expanded up to 512GB while the Realme 5 Pro can only handle up to 256GB.

Main camera-wise, the Realme 5 Pro takes the win as it has a quad-camera set up that consists of a 48-megapixel main shooter, 8-megapixel (ultra-wide), 2-megapixel (macro) and 2-megapixel (depth sensor) cameras.
Meanwhile, the Huawei Y9s has a triple camera set up that’s composed of 48-megapixel main camera, 8-megapixel (ultra-wide) and a 2-megapixel (depth sensor) lenses. The two devices have a 16-megapixel front camera but the Huawei Y9s has a motorized pop-up one.
In terms of battery life, both phones are packing big batteries as the Y9s has a 4,000mAh battery with 10W Charging while the Realme 5 Pro has a slightly bigger 4,035mAh battery with 20W charging.
When it comes to security, the Realme 5 Pro has a rear mounted one while the Huawei Y9s has a unique sidemounted fingerprint scanner. Both of them also feature a USB Type-C port.
The new Huawei Y9s 6GB/128GB has a price tag of Php13,990 in the Philippines. On the other hand, the Realme 5 Pro 4GB/128GB is priced at Php11,990 while the 8GB/128GB model costs Php13,990
From a spec and pricing standpoint, the Realme 5 Pro clearly beats the Huawei Y9s. If only the Huawei Y9s was priced a little bit lower, then it would’ve been able to beat out the Realme 5 Pro.
