The OPPO F11 Pro clearly has a slew of unique features that make it stand out over the Samsung Galaxy A50. There’s the pop-up selfie camera, which looks really futuristic and allowed the device to have an all-screen display.
There’s also the pixel-dense 48-megapixel primary camera, which can take great images in different scenarios, even in low light. It also features OPPO’s fast VOOC 3.0 fast charging technology and a reliable Helio P70 processor — something that we were able to test out in our full review.
Also, the OPPO F11 Pro has a more unique color gradient design. This part might be subjected, but I think most people would agree that the F11 Pro looks more appealing than the Galaxy A50. Although Samsung’s bet is available in four color options, while the F11 Pro is only available in Thunder Black and Aurora Green.
But if you don’t care about those flashy features, then you might be better off with the Samsung Galaxy A50. With this one, you’re getting a better 6.4-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED screen, which also has an in-display fingerprint scanner embedded to it.
They may have the same 6GB of RAM, but the Exynos 9610 processor on the Galaxy A50 provides better power. Plus, its 128GB of onboard storage is obviously more roomy than the 64GB memory that the former has.
It may not have the futuristic levitating camera feature, but it does have a sharper 25-megapixel selfie snapper. Also, its more flexible 25-megapixel, 8-megapixel ultra-wide, and 5-megapixel (depth sensor) triple rear cameras, which makes up for lack of a 48-megapixel primary camera that the F11 Pro has.
Oh, and more importantly, the Samsung Galaxy A50 sports a more dated USB Type-C port. While the OPPO F11 Pro, for some reason, still uses microUSB.
To sum it up, if you want a smartphone with cool features and more attractive design, then you might want to get the OPPO F11 Pro, which is available for Php18,990.
But if specs and overall usability is the top priority, then you might be better off with the Galaxy A50. You’d be also saving Php1,000 by doing so as it retails at a cheaper price of Php17,990.
