There are a lot of entry-level smartphones that offer incredible value for the price. So much so that it’s kind of hard to pick which one to get. If you’re one of those having that problem, this comparison is for you.
Today, we’d be comparing two of the most appealing smartphones in the Php8,000 price category. One of them is the TECNO Camon 17P that features killer cameras, a large battery, and much more.

We’d be comparing that to the Realme C25s, the company’s most current offering in this price range.
Like the former, and other devices in this price range, the focus here are the cameras and battery.

That said, here in our TECNO Camon 17p versus Realme C25s specifications and features comparison, we’ll see which between the two is actually worth your hard-earned money.

Design and Build Quality
You really can’t expect much in the design department of a budget smartphone. As you can see, both models inherited the looks of their cousins. Albeit, it’s obvious that the Camon 17P looks a little more interesting than the C25s.

It has a shiny camera area, a large Camon logo with the O stylized like a camera’s aperture, and comes with an eye-catching Spruce Green color with a navy green color with gold accents.
Meanwhile, the Realme C25s has a more straightforward look with a matte, textured finish and a vertical strip adjacent to the square camera glass and the Realme logo.

But at the end of the day, this topic is subjective, so we’ll let you decide which looks better in your eyes.
As for the build, well, being affordable phones, you really can’t expect much than having a cheap glass on the screen and an all-plastic back and frame.
Display and Sound
Here’s an instant win for the Camon 17P. As you can see, it has a noticeably larger 6.8-inch screen, versus the 6.5-inch of the latter.

The best part is, TECNO Mobile managed to squeeze a sharper FHD+ pixel resolution as Realme settles for HD+. This is enough reason for you to forget the C25s’s TÜV Rheinland special certification.
As for audio, both models only have single speakers, no stereo. Not too surprising considering the price.
Hardware and Processor
Both the Camon 17p and C25s are powered by the same MediaTek Helio G85 processor — the same chipset found on a lot of devices at a similar price.

But, where the TECNO smartphone overtakes is in the RAM and storage. It comes in a single configuration: 6GB/128GB. Meanwhile, the C25s is stuck at 4GB on both the 64GB and 128GB models.
That said, that Camon 17p can give you extra power in terms of multitasking. Albeit, the gaming experience should be similar since they have the same GPU.
Camera
An instant win for the Camon 17p. While they both lack an ultra-wide lens, TECNO’s bet has a 64-megapixel main camera that’s obviously sharper than the 48-megapixel of the C25s.

It also has a 16-megapixel selfie camera, which has 2x more pixels than the 8-megapixels of the latter. If that’s not enough, the Camon 17p also has a front-facing dual-tone flash and quad-LED flash on the back.

Battery
Here’s a clear win for the C25s. As you can see, it has a 6,000mAh battery, versus the 5,000mAh on the Camon 17P. Together with its lower resolution screen, you can expect longer battery life on this device.

However, charging times may be longer than the Camon 17p, since it uses the same 18W charger.
Verdict
Well, I guess we have a clear winner here. Unless having a marginally larger battery is really what you’re after, you’re better off with the TECNO Camon 17p.

Compared to the Realme C25s, it has a larger and sharper screen, bigger RAM capacity, and a much better pair of cameras. But whichever phone you choose, you can get it in the Philippines are both models are available locally.
