Vivo has launched not one, but two new smartphones in the Philippines. The Vivo V11 and V11i are now here in the country, and they intend to dominate the crowded midrange segment.
What are the differences between these two devices? Which between the Vivo V11 and the Vivo V11i should you get? That’s what we’re going to talk about today.
Design-wise, these two devices are literally very identical to each other. They come with a glossy back panel with swift curves on the corners, which really reminds us of the Vivo X21 that we have reviewed before.
Both handsets also come with a “Halo” notch, which resembles the waterdrop screen of the OPPO F9.
Probably the only thing that you can tell them apart is the fingerprint scanner on the back. The Vivo V11i, being the cheaper model of the two, has the traditional fingerprint sensor placed on the top of the Vivo logo.
On the other hand, the more expensive Vivo V11 uses the company’s in-display fingerprint scanner that’s hidden underneath the screen.
In addition, the V11 sports a more vibrant Super AMOLED display, which is actually a necessary implementation for the said fingerprint scanner technology to work. The V11i is only has an IPS panel which is also good enough for its price.
Another compromise that the V11i has over the V11 is the missing dual-engine fast-charging capability. This technology from Vivo will compete with OPPO’s VOOC flash charging, something that we’ll have to test on our full review.
The Vivo V11 also has 6GB of RAM, while the V11i only has 4GB of memory. But to make up for it, the latter comes with 128GB of storage, which is twice as much as the 64GB configuration of the V11.
But other than those differences, both the Vivo V11 and Vivo V11i has similar specs. Some of which are the main things that people are looking for on a smartphone.

For starters, we have their processors. The Vivo V11 comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 octa-core chipset, which is on par with the performance of the MediaTek Helio P60 chipset that runs on the V11i.
These two Vivo smartphones also have a completely same camera setup. They come with a 25-megapixel selfie camera on the front, while on the back there’s a 12-megapixel + 5-megapixel dual-camera configuration. They also come with AI scene detection, intelligent Face Beauty, AR Stickers, and more.
The bottom line? If you if you think Vivo’s in-display fingerprint scanner technology is really cool, and having a fast-charging smartphone with a vibrant Super AMOLED screen really matters, then you might be okay spending Php19,999 on the Vivo V11.
But if you don’t care about all those features, saving that extra cash and settling for the Php15,999 Vivo V11i is probably the better option.
