Apple just wrapped its “Scary Fast” event and unveiled the new M3, M3 Pro, and M3 Max chipsets, including the new hardware that will utilize them, like the 24-inch iMac 2023.
The overall look and features of the new 24-inch iMac M3 are the same as the ones powered by the M1 Apple silicon chip. Only this time, of course, they are more powerful. The company claims that the new M3-powered iMacs are 2x faster than their M1 counterparts and up to 4x more powerful than the Intel-based ones. Albeit, no M3 Pro or M3 Max option for this one.

You can also configure it with more RAM capacity and storage of up to 24GB and 2TB SSD. Like the new MacBook Pro M3, you get more ports when you spend more: the 8-core GPU models will have two Thunderbolt/USB 4 ports while the 10-core GPU models will have two additional USB-3 ports.
All models will have the same ultra-thin and convenient designs, with a sturdy stand with tilt functionality, and a bunch of vibrant colors with matching wallpaper and accessories.
The new iMac has a similar 24-inch 4.5K Retina display as before, six speakers in a stereo setup with Spatial Audio and Dolby Atmos, and a built-in 1080p FaceTiome camera with studio-quality triple-mic array.
Apple also highlighted how the new iMac M3 stand was built using 100% recycled aluminum. Apple also utilized recycled tin soldering in different PCBs and 100% recycled gold for the plating. Like the iPhone 15 series, Apple really wants to save the environment on this one.
