As the years go by, technology tends to evolve at great measure. A number of laptop manufacturing companies have already unveiled their latest laptops that are going to be on the market in 2015. They are definitely more skinny, lightweight, and contain a handful of more features than past models.
Take the ATIV Book 9 Ultrabook by Samsung, for example. It is insanely compact. It is only 12.2 “, 0.45 inches thick, 2.09 pounds, and has one of Intel’s latest Core M processors. It is the lightest and thinnest notebook that this brand has ever released on the market, and it is already causing heads to turn.
The display is what really people are talking about it. It has a 2,560 x 1,440 resolution, which is very high when you stop and think about the size of this non-touch panel laptop. It even comes with an outdoor mode to bring brightness up to 700 nits, which is a feature that is difficult to find in other similar devices.
According to Samsung, the ATIV Book 9 Ultrabook’s battery life can last up to 10.5 hours when one keeps the brightness at a moderate level. Similar to Samsung’s smartphones, this laptop has an ultra-power saving mode, which allows users to shut down services that are non-essential in order to obtain an extra hours of battery life. Since this laptop is fanless, you can expect it to run very quietly. Another benefit that this laptop has is that it doesn’t overheat. This laptop will go on sale somewhere in Q1 of 2015, and it will be available up for grabs in two configurations: a 128GB solid statedrive model with 4GB of memory for $1,200, and a model with 256GB SSD and 8GB of RAM for $1,400.00.
In addition to the ATIV Book 9 Ultrabook, Samsung also unveiled the ATIV One 7, which is Samsung’s first All-in-one with a curved screen. The ATIV One 7, in particular, resembles Samsung’s TV range and monitor. It has a 1TB 5,400 RPM hard drive, 8GB of RAM, Core i5-processor, 27-inch display, and HD resolution. Since it’s uses a TN panel, viewing angles might not be as wide as they are with machines that have IPS screens, but its curved display allows views from the side to be way better than other machines. It will be available for $1,300.
The ATIV Book 9 Ultrabook and ATIV One 7 are definitely not cheap, as the innovative features that accompany them are first class. Experts in the field already concluded that these two products will be two of the most sold gadgets by Samsung in 2015.
