Also introduced at MWC 2022, the new Huawei MateStation X is the company’s cleanest-looking all-in-one PC for those who want a minimalistic setup.

For those who are not familiar, all-in-one computers like the Huawei MateStation X have the PC components right within the monitor. No more bulky PC towers — great if you want a clean working/school desk.

What makes this machine special is that the hardware itself looks really sleek. In fact, it’s hard not to compare it to the iMac. It has a clean design built from a CNC-machined, sandblasted aluminum alloy.

It also has a matte finish and comes in Space Gray and Mystic Silver colors.

Now let’s talk about the biggest feature (literally), the display. What we have here is a 28.2-inch panel with an ultra-sharp 4K+ pixel resolution and a productivity-centric 3:2 aspect ratio. It’s also a 10-point multi-touch screen with a 5-layer AR coating to prevent reflections and hopefully, fingerprint marks.

Made for work, you can edit photos and videos on this thing that’s to its 98% DCI P3 coverage, ∆E≤1 color accuracy calibration, and VESA certified DisplayHDR 400.

The enormous screen and all the hardware inside it are attached to the stand via a special hinge that lets you adjust the tilt with just one finger. Sadly, it lacks height, rotation, and swivel adjustments.

To maximize space efficiency, Huawei put the built-in speakers at the stand. It features dual full-range speakers that use Devialet’s Speaker Active Matching (SAM) technology. The tweeters and woofer are positioned strategically in the stand for better audio delivery.

Now, let’s talk about the hardware powering this thing. The MateStation X is powered by an AMD Ryzen 7 5800H processor that has 8 cores and 16 threads. It also comes with 512GB of SSD storage and a generous 16GB of dual-channel RAM for productivity.

Other notable inclusions are the latest WiFi 6 antennas, Huawei’s Super Device feature that lets you easily share screen, photos, and files with other Huawei devices, and of course, Phone Collaboration with Huawei smartphones.

The Huawei MateStation X will be available in Europe for EUR2,199 (around Php125,700). Included in the package are the wireless mouse and keyboard with a built-in fingerprint scanner.

Since the company has shifted its focus to its PC products, we shall expect this machine to also arrive here in the Philippines in the future. We might also see the newly released MateBook X Pro 2022 and other devices that came out at MWC.
