Intel has released its latest workstation processors, the Xeon W-3500 series and Xeon W-2500 series, which come with a bunch of models to cater to different price segments.
Codenamed ‘Sapphire Rapids Refresh’, the new Intel Xeon W-3500 and W-2500 will use their predecessor’s design. They have a core count of up to 60 cores, up to eight memory channels for up to 4TB of DDR5-4800 memory with ECC and RAS support, and 64 or 112 PCIe lanes.
For the Intel Xeon W-3500 models, they now gain four to eight cores while having the same price points. Its top-of-the-line model, the Xeon W9-3595X, comes with whopping 60 cores with 35W (385W total) more processor power than its predecessor. It costs USD5,889 (~Php330,500).

Meanwhile, the more affordable Intel Xeon W-2500 series gained two cores, with the top-tier model, the Xeon W9-2595X, sporting 26 cores at 250W, which is 25W higher than its predecessor. It retails for USD2,039 (~Php114,400).

Intel said that the new Intel Xeon W processors are now available in select markets since August 28. It will then be available in September on pre-built systems from Lenovo, Dell, HP, and more.
