Angkas’ four-wheel car ride-hailing service, cleverly named Angcars, is now up for beta testing in select cities in Metro Manila.
The Angcars beta feature can be accessed within the same Angkas app on both Android and iOS device. But, it’s limited to Makati, Pasig, BGC, and Mandaluyong. The notice did say that the service will be “expanding soon” in more cities.
You can spot it in the Service Type section, just below the Passenger and Padala options. The service can accommodate up to 4 passengers.

The app also shows the breakdown of the fare. The base fare will be Php45, with an additional Php15 per kilometer and Php2 per minute the travel lasts.

Angkas has yet to announce when the service will be widely available, but it shouldn’t be long soon.
LTFRB recently granted Angkas Technologies, along with 13 other firms, a go signal to operate as a transport network company (TNC) in a bid to improve the ride-hailing services in the Philippines due to growing demand.
