TECNO Mobile showcased its latest concept phone called the Phantom Ultimate 2.

The first Phantom Ultimate showcased TECNO Mobile‘s R&D prowess by having a rollable display. That’s what they are trying to accomplish with the new TECNO Phantom Ultimate 2 and its tri-fold design.

This tri-fold concept shows a large 10-inch diagonal screen that has three folds. This should be an even better option for people who want to carry a tablet-like screen on a pocketable, smartphone-like form factor.

To give you an idea, the Galaxy Z Fold6 only has a 7.6-inch foldable screen. TECNO’s concept phone can expand from a traditional 6.48-inch smartphone screen all the way to a 10-inch LTPO OLED panel with a 2880 x 1620 pixel resolution with a 4:3 aspect ratio.

The company also highlighted how their concept foldable phone is the first to have TDDI technology, which puts the display driver and touch sensor on a single chip. It is also incredibly thin at 11mm when completely folded thanks to TECNO’s own dual hinge design and has been tested to last 300,000 folds.

TECNO also boasts how they developed the thinnest battery cover on any smartphone at just 0.25mm.

The company demoed a couple of uses for the design. You can have the first fold as a keyboard in a laptop-like setup or have the topmost fold flip back acting as a kickstand. You can also split-screen three apps so you can use all of them at the same time.

Much like its predecessor, no release details have been mentioned about the new TECNO Phantom Ultimate 2.
