Netflix has released an entirely free plan with limited content selection. As of writing, it’s only available to those in Kenya who are using the Android platform.
With a 100% free tier, the streaming company hopes that more Kenyans will try the service and subscribe once they have gotten to know it. About 25% of the content available on Netflix paid plans in Kenya will be available free of charge.
Since it’s a free plan, there are several limitations aside from not having the full catalog. Users on the free Netflix won’t be able to download content for offline viewing and they won’t be allowed to cast the shows on TVs and monitors.

To make it easier for everyone, Netflix is not requiring users to input payment information upon sign-up. All they have to do is give a valid email address and password.
In the past, Netflix opted for free trials instead of giving completely free access to the platform. The company says the initiative might come to other regions soon if it proves to be successful.
