The new Axie Infinity: Origin (Battles V3) has been announced and it will be available real soon.
With the new Axie Infinity: Origin (Battles V3), players will be treated with new game mechanics, interfaces, special effects, storylines, art, and an “expansive onboarding experience.” The goal is to make the game more approachable for the mainstream audience, hence it’s been built from the ground up.

The new game mechanics include Sequential Turns, Reset Energy and Cards Each Turn, Card Changes, Eyes & Ears, Power-Ups: Runes and Charms, Simplified Axie Stats, and apparently, critical hits are no longer the “Rage”.
Axie Infinity has also added new starter Axies that lets you play the game for free. However, they are not NFTs. Also, players wouldn’t be able to make SLP from them, but the company said “for now at least!”, hinting that it might be in the future.
To make the game appealing to more people, it will now feature a “plethora of tutorials” that will better explain the mechanics of the game. It will also have an Unlock feature where players can only access different features as they progress in the game through PvE Adventure.

No official date has been set just yet, but the developers said that the Axie Infinity: Origin will first enter the Alpha phase, followed by Season 0 where feedbacks from the Alpha phase will be applied.
