The Lyceum of the Philippines Manila finally launched its BS Esports course.
If you remember, LPU Manila and Tier One Entertainment announced back in February 2020 that they will partner to launch a BS Esports. It’s a full-on course that teaches both the front and back-end of Esports.
The BS Esports comes in two tracks: Esports Management that focuses on planning and team management, enhancing management and organization skills, and business skills. It will also teach students to develop business plans and organize events with marketing, online streaming, and advertising through technology.
For the second one, we have the Game Design and Development. This one covers principles, concepts, and techniques in design and development with a focus on esports. The goal is to develop students’ knowledge and understanding of esports with the concept of game design theories and programing. It should enhance students’ creativity and inventiveness in game development and design.
As a bonus, BS Esports students from LPU Manila can get internships thanks to industry partners.
The course comes with a 2-year program for Associate in Esports and Game Design and a 4-year program in Bachelor of Science in Esports. If you’re curious about what kind of career you can get from this course, you can check the list below.
