The current ruling champion of Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB), ECHO, and one of its players, Benedict “BennyQT” Gonzales, are nominated once for the Esports Awards, which will be held in Las Vegas, Nevada in November.
Nominated for the Esports Team of the Year, ECHO will be competing directly against other teams, such as FNATIC (VALORANT), TSM (Apex Legends), Evil Geniuses (VALORANT), W7M Esports (Rainbow 6 Siege), Gaimin Gladiators (Dota 2), New York Subliners (Call of Duty), and Team Vitality (CS:GO, Rocket League).
Fourth MLBB world championship MVP Benedict “BennyQT” Gonzales, meanwhile, will be pitting against Gaku “Gaku” Mukai (Clash of Clans), Mohamed “Mohamed Light” Tarek (Clash Royale), Burenbayar “TOP” Altangere (PUBG Mobile), Erik “Joker” Granström (Brawl Stars), Peng “Fly” Yunfei (Honor of Kings), and Tensai “Tensai” (Brawl Stars) for the Esports Mobile Player of the Year award.
Mobile Legends: Bang Bang and MOONTON also received nominations in their respective categories. The MOBA title competed with the likes of VALORANT, League of Legends, Rocket League, CS:GO, Call of Duty, Fortnite, PUBG Mobile, and Dota 2 under the esports category.
Likewise, MLBB also fought against Brawl Stars, PUBG Mobile, Call of Duty Mobile, Arena of Valor, Honor of Kings, Clash Royale, Free Fire, and Pokemon UNITE under the mobile game category.
But MLBB emerged victorious in both classes when it earned both the Mobile Game of the Year and Esports Game of the Year awards. MOONTON, meanwhile, bagged the Publisher of the Year award.
A major crowning event in the global esports scene, the Esports Awards will be held in Resorts World Las Vegas.
