The future of Farlight’s esports scene is set for a major change, as Farlight 84 Summit Philippines unleashes its plans for the future, which include strategies for bringing the event to the next level, new maps, as well as a Filipino-inspired hero.
With a $20 million budget for the next 5 years, Farlight 84 is establishing a standard for esports in the Philippines.
The financial support will be used across the Farlight Philippines Championship (FPH), which will bring in players of all skill levels. As early as now, participants could vie to win a prize pool of $1 million, with options for cash rewards via tournaments.
Apart from the allure of prize money, Farlight Games is also making its game extra spicy with regular updates, which include a monthly rollout of heroes, maps, game modes, weapons, and vehicles.

Keen on capturing the interest of local players, Farlight is bound for another addition to its existing roster, with a hero that Filipino players are likely to resonate with.
Per Farlight Games Senior Director of Global Publishing Nelson Woon:
“In a celebration of the Filipino culture, we are introducing a new Filipino hero.”
He described the hero as one who will “assume the support role” and “embody the spirit of a rockstar”—that is, reflecting the company’s “ongoing commitment offering customized elements and content.”
There is also a piece of interesting news in store for home console owners, as Farlight is set for launch on the Nintendo Switch. Expansion to both PlayStation and Xbox is also underway but at a later date.
