It’s been a while since GTA V’s Expanded & Enhanced edition was released on PS5 and Xbox. If there’s some consolation for the people waiting for the release of GTA VI, Rockstar Games has finally released GTA V’s next-gen update on PC last March 5, 2025.

The upgrade for GTA V on PC is available to play from Rockstar Games Launcher, Steam, and Epic Games.

According to the developer’s announcement, brings new features for PCs that were only available on the latest generation of consoles while optimizing the game experience and performance on modern PCs.

Players who already own GTA V on PC can upgrade to this new version for free, allowing them to migrate their Story Mode and Online progress. On the other hand, those who are new to GTA V and GTA Online on PC will receive this new version (GTA V Enhanced) together with the original version (now called GTA V Legacy) upon purchase.

The updated version added upgrades like new cars and paint jobs, ambient wildlife and daily photography challenges, ray tracing features if you meet the recommended PC specs, and GTA+ subscription services.
