Potterheads, rejoice! The people behind the upcoming game Hogwarts Legacy, based on the popular book and movie franchise Harry Potter, have finally given us an official launch date.
WB Games and developer Avalanche Software announced that Hogwarts Legacy will be launching on February 10, 2023, on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC. The date was pushed to last year instead of 2022. Meanwhile, the release of the Nintendo Switch version is yet to be announced.
Meanwhile, new game footage will be shown at Gamescom next week, August 23. The video shall give us a look at how the game works and looks. Plus, its control mechanics, graphics, and more.
For a quick recap, the game was first introduced in February 2020. It would be an open-world action RPG game and will be set in the 1800s.
The main character is a Hogwarts student that holds the key to an ancient secret that apparently threatens to destroy the wizarding world.
Like the novel it was based on, your character will learn spells, grow plants, brew potions, and tend magical beasts. You’d be also sorted into your own house, master skills, and make relationships — all of which will contribute to the kind of wizard you want to be.
