One Piece Odyssey, a Japanese role-playing game (RPG) based on the popular anime and manga series, is coming in 2022.
The game was announced through a live stream on the official One Piece YouTube channel. Bandai Namco also confirmed that it’s publishing the RPG in the west.
Katsuaki Tsuzuki, the game’s producer, says One Piece Odyssey will contain an “epic drama adventure which both One Piece fans and JRPG fans can experience and enjoy.” It will revolve around the story of the Straw Hats, with dungeon experiences and side quests along the way.
One Piece Odyssey characters were designed by the author of the manga himself, Eiichiro Oda. Playable characters include Luffy, Nami, Usopp, Zoro, Sanji, Robin, Chopper, and Brook.
Recently, it was revealed that the One Piece series is also getting a live-action adaptation on Netflix.
The new One Piece Odyssey game is scheduled to be launched in 2022 on PC, PS4, PS5, and Xbox Series S/X.
