Samsung Electronics is officially joining the gaming scene with the launch of the new Samsung Notebook Odyssey Z gaming laptop.

Primary components of the Samsung Notebook Odyssey Z gaming laptop include an 8th-generation Intel Core i7 equipped with 6 cores and a total of 12 threads. There’s support for the latest DDR4 memory of up to 16GB with a bandwidth speed of 2400MHz. On the graphics side, a midrange NVIDIA GeForce 6GB GTX 1060 GPU handles it.

Samsung also flaunts a thermal management hardware which is called as the Z AeroFlow Cooling System. It has three parts: the Z Blade Blower, Dynamic Spread Vapor Chamber, and the Z AeroFlow Cooling Design.

The keyboard of the Samsung Notebook Odyssey Z gaming laptop has Crater keycaps for better precision and comfort for a refined experience. The Touchpad sits on the right side to give a more homey, desktop PC like feeling.

Even though it is a gaming laptop, Samsung anticipated that it will also be used by creative professionals. With that, it added a silent mode feature which limits the fan noise to a low 22 decibels.

For optimal heat management, the vapor chamber will cover both the CPU and GPU. The design enables the laptop to push cold air to the hot areas while shoving the heat at the bottom vents.
