Spider-Man 2’s recent trailer wowed the audience with a presentation of as many as 65 different in-game costumes for the web-slinging and web-swinging protagonists of the game. And yes, there are two for the players to control.
In a recently held State of Play presentation by Sony, viewers were shown Insomniac Games’ developing title via a trailer, showcasing a few minutes of gameplay and in-game visuals.
For the first time in the franchise, players are finally able to play with two Spider-Man, alternating between Peter Parker and Miles Morales in real-time.
The updated trailer also showcased gameplay mechanics that seem to improve upon the series’ known fighting motions. It is also a step up from the lengthier gameplay video of Spider-Man 2 shown to the public last May.
Fans who love collecting costumes for their heroes are also in for a treat to know that the game features some 65 unique in-game outfits. Adding to the depth is a variety of combinations that provide players with up to 200 different ways to make their hero look stylish and unique.
Further, fans will love it knowing the fact that said Spidey suits derive from designs for the franchise as seen in the comics, TV, and more.
Spider-Man 2 is the direct sequel to the seminal 2018 title and the third installment to the overall franchise. It is slated for release on October 20, 2023, exclusively on the PlayStation 5.
