Sony just unveiled three new colorways for the PlayStation 5. They may like boring, straightforward colors, but they apparently have meaning to them. They are part of a series called the Deep Earth Collection, which they say was inspired by the “beautiful and powerful hues found in the depths of planet Earth.”
The PlayStation 5 Deep Earth Collection consists of the Volcanic Red, Cobalt Blue, and Sterling Silver. The first one has a brighter and richer shade than the Cosmic Red from before. It has a magenta hue and comes with a metallic finish for a glossier appearance.

Meanwhile, the Cobalt Blue has a deep shade of blue, in line with the red option. It also has a metallic finish for a glossy look. Finally, the Sterling Silver has a clean shiny silver finish for a straightforward look.

Just like the earlier color alternatives from Sony, the Deep Earth Collection will be sold as optional covers with a matching controller for those who already own the console. Meaning, you can’t get them with the entire console on the box.
The PlayStation 5 Deep Earth Collection retails for USD60 (~Php3,400) while the DualSense controllers can be had for USD75 (~Php4,200). They will be available for pre-order come October 4 in the US, UK, Germany, France, Belgium, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Spain, Italy, Austria, and Portugal.
Shipping for the Volcanic Red and Cobalt Blue will start on November 3 while the Sterling Silver will not be available until January 26, 2024. No word if it’s coming to Asian countries like the Philippines.
