Team Liquid, a well-known esports organization, has recently made a significant move by entering the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) scene through a partnership with M4 world champions ECHO and its sister team AURA. This partnership marks Team Liquid’s debut in the MLBB scene, with a focus on Indonesia and the Philippines.

Team Liquid has a rich history in esports, dating back to 2000 when it started as a StarCraft team. The organization is particularly recognized for its Dota 2 division, which secured victory at The International in 2017. Now, Team Liquid is expanding its reach into the mobile gaming realm with a strategic collaboration with ECHO and AURA.

As part of the partnership, ECHO will now be known as “Team Liquid ECHO.” This rebranding signifies a new chapter for the team, as they transition from purple to blue and align themselves closely with Team Liquid. The merger also includes former ECHO captain Tristan “Yawi” Cabera, who will now be part of Team Liquid under the AURA banner.

This collaboration between Team Liquid and ECHO is the third of its kind in the Philippine MLBB scene, following similar partnerships between AP Bren with Team Falcons and Onic Philippines with FNATIC. Team Liquid ECHO is set to compete in the MPL Philippines playoffs, with the goal of securing a spot in the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang mid-season cup. This prestigious event will take place during the Esports World Cup in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

In Indonesia, Liquid Aura is scheduled to face off against EVOS Glory in the MPL Indonesia Season 13 Playoff starting on June 6th, 2024. On the other hand, Liquid Echo will be competing against RSG Philippines in the upper bracket of the MPL Philippines Season 13 playoff kicking off on May 22nd, 2024.
