When starting up your PS4, the last thing you expect to see is an advertisement on your homepage. Well, if you have a particular setting turned on, that would be the case.
You’ll find a home page advertisement for Destiny 2. For those unaware, Destiny 2 is an online-only multiplayer first-person shooter game developed by Bungie and published by Activision.
It’s really weird that Sony is pulling this off, considering that PlayStation 4 owners paid for the device itself. It’s as if we got the gaming console for free to deserve these annoying advertisements.
You might be wondering and asking yourself, how do I turn this off? Well, worry no more. It’s fairly easy and all you have to do is simply follow the instructions below.
Here’s a step by step guide on how to disable PS4 advertisements
Step 1: On your home screen, scroll up by using your Right stick or the Up directional button and select Settings.
Step 2: Scroll down and select System.
Step 3: Select Automatic Downloads.
Step 4: Uncheck Featured Content.
Voila! Advertisements won’t pop up on your homepage anymore unless you decide to tick the Featured Content feature again.
