Less than a month away from the 2025 National and Local Elections, the Commission on Elections (Comelec) announced via a Facebook post that they had made the online precinct finder for the May 12, 2025 polls available to the public.

The Comelec Precinct Finder is an online verification site to check your voter registration status (active or inactive), polling place (school name), and precinct number — everything you need to know on election day.

The platform will ask for personal details, such as your full name (including first, middle, and last name), date of birth, and place of registration (province and city or municipality). If you’re checking for another, it’s better to prepare the details.

How to find where to vote with Comelec’s Online Precinct Finder

Step 1: Go to https://precinctfinder.comelec.gov.ph and click ‘Continue’ at the Disclaimer.

Step 2: Choose between Local or Overseas Voting.

If you’re voting in the Philippines, choose Local (Philippines); otherwise, select Overseas if registered to do an absentee vote.

Step 3: Input your First Name, Middle Name, Last Name, Date of Birth, and the Province and City/Municipality where you registered.

For those without a middle name, place an underscore (“_” ) or a dot (“.”).

Please double-check your details before submitting to ensure that the Precinct Finder returns a valid result. Otherwise, you will get a “No Record Found,” just like someone who hasn’t registered.

Step 4: Click “Search,” followed by “Proceed.”

Once you continue, you’ll receive your polling information and voting status.

Step 5: Check your Voting Status

Your status will either be “Active” or “Deactivated.”

Voters with an active status can proceed as usual, getting their polling place and precinct number for easier location on election day.

On the other hand, voters with a deactivated status will not be able to vote in the May 12, 2025 Elections due to failure to vote in two consecutive regular elections. You will have to wait for the registration schedule for the next election.

What to do if your voter status was incorrectly tagged

If, for instance, the Precinct Finder tags your voting status as Deactivated despite never missing a poll, or a dead relative still has an active status, you may contact the Office of the Election Officer.

Click here to get the name of the election officer, their location, phone number, and email address. You may also send an email to voterverifier@comelec.gov.ph for further verification.

According to the Comelec, there are 75,940,535 voters for the upcoming 2025 national and local elections, over 10 million more voters than in the 2022 presidential elections.
