GCash finally has a ‘buy now, pay later’ feature for Filipinos with the launch of GGives.
The GCash GGives lets users pay for items that cost as much as Php30,000 with up to 24 gives over the course of 12 months. The service also offers flexible installment periods with 3-month and 6-month options.

What’s more, users can enjoy as low as 0% interest rates. To give you an idea of the monthly fees, loaning Php30,000 under a 12-month installment plan will get you about Php3,400 per month. Note that rates may differ depending on the term and your GScore.

How to activate GCash GGives
Step 1: Open the GCash app and tap “View all GCash Services”.

Step 2: Tap “GGives” in the ‘Financial Services’ section.

Step 3: In the GGives application, verify and complete your details. But if you weren’t able to reach this screen or you got some kind of error, you can check below to see the possible reason.

How to use GCash GGives
Step 1: Open the GCash app and tap “QR” right from the dashboard.

Step 2: Scan the QR code from the merchant or store.

Step 3: Key in the amount and tap “Next”.

Step 4: In the payment options, select GGives and choose your installment option.

Step 5: Review the details, click yes in the Disclosure Statement, and tap “Pay PhpXXX” to complete the process.

Why can’t I activate GCash GGives?
Chances are, GGives is not yet available for your account. GCash said that they’re working on bringing the feature to more users. GCash also said that you can only have 1 GGives account at a time.
And just like a lot of other loan services, you may not be eligible to use GCash’s buy now, pay later feature if you’re not qualified. You can check if you’re eligible below.

- You must be a Filipino national and is 21 to 65 years old.
- Your GCash account must be fully verified.
- Your eligibility is subject to credit policies and risk rules.
- You’re maintaining a good GScore. The GScore requirements for GGives may differ per customer.

You can calculate your GGives monthly fee and loan via the company’s official calculator on their website.

What are the interest rates for GGives?
The interest rates for GCash GGives ranges from 0% to 4.99%. The rate will depend on your GScore and the length of the loan term.
Does GGives have penalty fee for late payments?
There’s a fixed penalty ee of Php100 per due date plus a variable penalty fee. The fixed penalty will be charged 1 day after the due date.
