Those who use the Grab app for its transportation features might notice that the fare might overwhelm you even if it isn’t a holiday or your drop-off point is just near your pick-up location.
Fortunately, Grab is starting the new year by assuring their users that they could save more while benefiting from the same (transportation) service through their GrabCar Saver feature.
The Saver option promises rates up to 15% less, but the drawback is that drivers will have a much longer waiting period to accept your booking. Of course, with lower fares, some drivers must choose their passengers while considering how it will affect them in the long run.

If you’re not in a hurry and want to save up on fares without relying on GrabTaxi or GrabShare, GrabCar Saver is your best bet.
How to use GrabCar Saver
1. Open your Grab application. Once you’ve chosen the car option and are on the booking screen, pull up the screen to view more ride options.

2. The GrabCar Saver option is at the bottom of the list, just below GrabTaxi.
Base fare is capped at Php45 for this feature, gaining an additional Php15 per kilometer and Php2 for every minute of travel time.

Please take note that this feature is still under beta testing. So, at least for now, GrabCar Saver is only available at selected hours in Metro Manila and Pampanga.
