Where standard routers fall short in providing adequate Wi-Fi coverage, Wi-Fi mesh systems can step in to deliver a strong and reliable signal throughout a much larger area. PLDT Home Fiber customers now have the opportunity to experience this enhanced connectivity with the introduction of the TP-Link Deco X55.
PLDT Home takes advantage of the latest Wi-Fi technology featured in the Deco X55 to offer extensive coverage and high-speed internet connectivity. Equipped with what TP-Link calls as an AI-Driven Mesh, the Deco X55 can extend a household’s Wi-Fi coverage up to around 700 square meters and helps eliminate dead spots. This ensures minimal interruption to data-intensive activities like online gaming and video calls.
Notable features of the Wi-Fi 6 in the Deco X55 include Orthogonal Frequency Division Access (OFDMA) for improved network capacity and efficiency, dual-band operation (2.4GHz and 5GHz) with a 160MHz channel width for faster speeds, and multi-user, multiple-input, multiple-output technology (MU-MIMO) for enhanced bandwidth distribution among the Wi-FI users. A Wi-Fi 6 feature called Basic Service Set coloring also reduces interference from other wireless networks.
