There have been rumors surrounding Apple‘s iPhone Fold, with speculations pointing to a 2026 release. Another analyst has supported this timeline, suggesting that another product will also be released at the same time.
Recently, a prediction from an analyst claims that Apple is scheduled to introduce a foldable iPhone and iPad in 2026, 7 years after Samsung launched the first-ever Galaxy Fold.
This information is provided by Haitong Securities analyst Jeff Pu, as reported by BGR. He claims that Apple will release not just one, but two foldable devices two years from now. Jeff Pu also said that the foldable devices were initially planned to be released earlier, but durability issues of the screen caused delays.
The foldable iPad is not that surprising, as it’s been rumored multiple times like the iPhone Fold. After all, the two of them are probably similar for the most part except for the size. Several months ago, rumors said that it could be an iPad mini replacement.
But it’s not just 6-inch and 8-inch displays that are in development. Some insiders even say that something as big as a 20-inch iPad could also be in the works.
Aside from the foldable devices, another interesting rumor is the “iPhone 17 Slim,” which is a thinner iPhone that will reportedly replace the Plus variant.
