The long awaited iOS 7 jailbreak is finally available for owners who want more freedom on their Apple devices.

This latest jailbreak from well-known hacker-team evad3rs is compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, iPad, and iPad mini models that are running iOS 7.0 through 7.0.4. It’s also untethered, meaning devices stay jailbroken even after a reboot.

The team claims the iOS 7 jailbreak will only require 5 minutes to install. You must also have a computer running on Windows (with iTunes), Mac OS X, or Linux, along with a USB data cable to connect it to your iDevice.

Though evad3rs’ iOS 7 jailbreak is a simple procedure, your Apple gadget may still end up getting broken when you’re not careful. If such an unfortunate event ever happens, you may want to know how to fix a bricked iDevice. As always, perform a backup of your files before everything else.

Also note that the Cydia—the software that lets jailbroken Apple devices find and install apps—that comes along with this particular jailbreak is not yet official and tested. As tweeted by Cydia creator Jay Freeman, there’s no telling what will work as intended or what will end up introducing bugs and issues.
