Finding it hard to listen to someone in a noisy environment? Apple’s iOS has you covered with its Live Listen accessibility feature that basically turns your iPhone, iPad, and other supported devices as a remote microphone for the AirPods.

To activate the feature, head to the Settings app, then select Accessibility. Under that section, find Hearing Devices and select the device that will act as the earpiece. Tap the Start Live Listen and position your iPhone to where you’d like to pick up voices amid nearby loud sounds.

The feature can be added to the Control Center for easier access. Of course, you’ll need to do the steps above after linking your AirPods first. If you don’t have AirPods, any hearing devices that are Made for iPhone (MFi) compatible can be used for Live Listen.

The Live Listen feature can be especially useful for those with hearing impairments. But to the devious and the schemers, the Live Listen seems to be a great tool for spying and eavesdropping.

With AirPods having an optimal reception range around thirty to sixty feet, you can for instance place your iPhone in a hidden spot in the next room so you can secretly listen to people having conversations.
