ASUS has introduced the Vivobook 13 Slate OLED, one of the first laptop with a detachable OLED display.

All the main hardware of the ASUS VivoBook 13 Slate OLED are crammed inside the 13.3-inch FHD+ OLED screen, so it can work on its own when it’s detached from the keyboard. This screen has a 550-nits peak brightness, 100% DCI-P3 coverage, and 16:9 aspect ratio.

You can attach a magnetic back cover with a kickstand if you want to watch movies. But for a full laptop experience, you can use the included full-size keyboard.

ASUS is also throwing in its Pen 2.0 stylus to unleash your creativity or if you like jotting notes. It will also let you take full advantage of the Android 11-app support on Windows 11.

The base model, which costs USD599 (around Php30,000), is powered by an Intel Pentium Silver N6000 chip with 4GB of RAM and 126GB eMMC storage. If you plan on using it as an actual work machine instead of a basic tablet, you can splurge for the 8GB model with 128GB or 256GB SSD storage.

Other features include a 5-megapixel front camera for video calls, 13-megapixel rear cameras, noise-canceling microphones, quad speakers, and Dolby Atmos technology. Its arrival date in the Philippines is yet to be announced.
