Earlier this month, the ASUS ROG Zephyrus was announced. This laptop garnered quite a lot of buzz due to how thin it is for a gaming machine — a feat that we expect wouldn’t come cheap. And now that it has been officially launched in the country, we now know how much it costs.
But first, let’s take a quick look back on the ASUS ROG Zephyrus. This new gaming monster was able to attain its ultra-thin-for-a-gaming-laptop thanks to NVIDIA Max-Q. This new design language that NVIDIA has developed will make gaming laptops thinner, like what it really should have been in the first place.
With Max-Q, the ROG Zephyrus was able to achieve an incredible 17.9mm thickness. For a quick reference, that’s close to MacBook’s 14.9mm slim profile.
And despite its sleek dimensions, this beast packs an Intel 7th-Gen i7-7700HQ processor and an option for a GTX 1070 or a GTX 1080. Furthermore, there’s also 24GB of DDR4 DRAM, 512GB M.2 SSD, and a 15.6-inch Full HD display, with 120Hz refresh rate thanks to G-Sync.
The ASUS ROG Zephyrus with a GTX 1070 will be sold for Php149,995. While the GX501VI with a NVIDIA GTX 1080 is priced at Php179,995. Pre-order has already begun and will start shipping in August.
