Samsung has officially announced the upgraded version of the Chromebook Plus.
The Samsung Chromebook Plus V2 is equipped with an Intel Celeron 3965Y CPU, Intel HD Graphics 615, built-in stylus pen, and cameras. It has a 12.2-inch touchscreen display with 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution that can go as bright as 300 nits. It can be morphed into a tablet and sketchbook, aside from being a portable laptop.
There’s 4GB of RAM and a measly 32GB onboard storage. Thankfully, it supports storage expansion via microSD, so it can handle up to 400GB in total. The Samsung Chromebook Plus V2 comes with two (2) USB-C ports with 4K display out, one (1) USB 3.0, optional adapter, and a microSD card reader.
Samsung Chromebook Plus V2 is built with aluminum alloy, plastic, and glass material. It weights 1.32kgs and it measures 11.34 x 8.19 x 0.7 inches. Powering the device is a 39Wh battery which should last for an entire day of moderate use. It can also take decent pictures with its 13-megapixel primary camera and 1-megapixel selfie camera for video calls. There are also 1.5W stereo speakers, so it can get by without the help of an external audio device.
Like every other recent Chromebook running Chrome OS, it has access to thousands of apps and software through the Google Play store.
The Samsung Chromebook Plus V2 price is USD499.99 (~Php26,700) and it will be available on BestBuy beginning the 24th of June.
